Once again bloody Nania Pir.
Rangamati Naniyar Char Upazila is once again bloody due to conflict of the mountainous regional parties. Two people were shot dead after joining the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) after 'leaving the party'. The assassination took place in Ramsuparipara Upazila on Thursday night.
UPDF claimed that they renounced the CHT Janshhoti Samity (MN Larma), known as reformists, for their revenge and killed them. However, the reformist Jan Sanghati Samity said, they were killed due to the internal conflict of UPDF.
The deceased were identified as Chalak Chakma (42) and Shyamal Kanti Chakma Sumant (30) of Ramsuparipara.
It is to be noted that at least 15 people were killed in the last six months in Nayanar Char. Among them, Upazila Chairman and Jana Sanghati Samity (MN Larma) leader Shaktman Chakma, UPDF (Democratic) chief Tapan Jyoti Chakma Verma is also among them.
Local administration and law enforcing agencies said that some days ago, Attractive and Shyamal joined the UPDF. They were responsible for the responsibility of the law enforcement agencies as they were serving as collector of the organization at Ramsuparipara. At around 2pm on Thursday, a group of armed miscreants entered their home and shot dead. On Friday, police rushed to the spot and brought the bodies to Rangamati Sadar Hospital for the autopsy.
UPDF local organizer Sakal Chakma said that both of the deceased left the Jan Sanghati Samity (JSS-MN Larma), known as reformists, and took refuge in UPDF.
On the other hand, spokesman and publicity secretary of JSS (MN Larma) spokesman and organization Pratash Chakma said, "There is no distant connection to this incident. The duo may have been killed due to the internal conflict of the UPDF. Their responsibility is to impose on us. '
In a statement, UPDF's Nayanar Char, organizer, Chakma, said in a statement: "Due to vandalism, Shyamal has been killed due to vengeance, because of the corruption and irregularities of reformist Jassa and public interest activists." He immediately arrested the killers and demanded exemplary punishment.
Naniar Char Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Latif said the police were sent to the spot after the news of the killing of two UPDF workers in Ramsuparipara. The bodies were recovered. The appropriate legal process will be followed in this regard, he said.
UPDF 'reverse statement'
Chakma claimed in a statement sent to the media on Friday morning after the assassination, "The deceased left the Jana Sanghati Samity (MN Larma) and took shelter in UPDF." He claimed the arrest and justice of the people responsible for the massacre of reformists.
In another statement, in a statement, only one and a half hours after one and a half hours, Chakma said, "The two people killed were not associated with the UPDF", they said, after leaving the reformist JSS a few months ago, they came back to normal life on the basis of understanding with UPDF. He said the reformists had killed them.
