"Preetibeneshu: Your question, the editor's reply"
Many use social aggressive and obscene language in social media, not new information. BBC Bangla's Facebook page is often commented on using a great language. We have been aware of this for a long time and some stricter steps have been able to reduce the level of indecency. But that does not seem too good enough.
Let's start with a complaint about our Facebook page, but it may not be right to say the charges, because the concerns have been expressed more than that. By Mohammad Sharifuzzaman from Shalbagan of Rajshahi:
"I regularly read the reports of BBC Bangla and BBC English. Neutral analysis of the reports fascinated me. But one thing to express concern about. When we share reports on BBC Bangla on Facebook, we see, many distorted brain people make poor comments. The comments that triggered terrorism and militancy. I think the BBC Bangla authority should look at this. "
I agree with you completely Mr. Sharifuzzaman Earlier on this issue I answered the readers' letter. The Facebook page of BBC Bangla is a very popular page, and it is very sad that the page is being corrupted due to some people. We are constantly looking at comments and not just removing pornographic comments, who are being banned from their pages by commenting on racial or violence incidents.
Masudur Rahman of Lalmai Upazila of Comilla was more disappointed, but for different reasons:
"It is very sad to hear Mihir Bose's analysis of the BBC. Whenever the analysis of Bangladesh is disseminated, why is it only asked about Mihir Bose? He always spoke harshly towards India. He will not give Bangladesh a chance. "
Thank you, Mr. Rahman, for your letter but I can not agree with you. Mihir Bose is a very experienced and discreet analyst. He analyzed the neutral, arbitrary manner. As a result, the supporters of any party may be bewildered. But because of that, his analysis can not be blown away. And we are not only Mihir Bose in Bangladesh but also the ex-Bangladeshi players and interviews of journalists.
Writes about a news about our campaign Written by Mohammad Mizanur Rahman from Rajarhat of Kurigram:
"A police sergeant's video with a woman carrying illegal car parking in the streets of Dhaka was broadcast by BBC on the news of viral on Facebook. But the BBC did not say anything about the identity of the woman. So what would I say that the BBC is preaching unfunded news. Can not tell his identity because he is a member of the government party. "
If news was unfounded, then you would not have seen it on the BBC website. I can guarantee that. We talked to the police officer about the reports and confirmed the incident. All the words that the woman said in the report were all in the report.
But we have concealed his identity and pictures because no allegation should be made publicly before it is officially formed. Thank you.
You can read our report if you want to know more about: 'We are the Prime Minister, my father, MP'
Munni Patwari from Rangpur Government College analyzed the same issue differently:
"Recently, on an official BBC website," We are the Prime Minister, my father, MP ", in an article about the viral happening through social media. Such unethical activities are being used regularly by the government. None of these are viral or none. The woman should have been sued for illegal parking.
"The law is the same for everybody, whether it is the government or the people of the private parties. If such people who are engaged in law and order with honesty, honest attitude, would have never done such a thing, if they did the right thing. "
I agree with you, Miss Pattawi. The responsibility of the police is to maintain order in the society through law enforcement, whether it is a little illegal parking or murder. But as far as we know, the case has been filed for illegal parking. But the general public does not have that power, so if they see anything wrong they can video it spread through social. But the police should not do that, because its responsibility is to enforce the law. Thank you.
