Armed forces will be with police after December 15: CEC

Chief election commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said that the voting officers should not collect the information.

After December 15th, small parties of the Armed Forces will meet with the police. The small teams of the Armed Forces will remain in each district. They have to work in coordination with them. They have to keep their travel arrangements. He said that other forces and magistrates should help with the information.

He said this at a meeting with law enforcing agencies at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, the capital on Thursday.

In front of the 11th parliamentary elections, the CEC issued a 12-point directive to the law enforcing agencies in a special session on law and order.

He said that we did not say that collecting information about the voting officers visiting the house, you will not do this because there are so many questions about it. Those voting officials are embarrassed. We do not want it.

He said that if you need to collect information, you can collect it using secret sources. Do not ask them to go home at home. We do not want it.

After the announcement of the schedule, do not arrest anyone without a warrant, do not file a case - no one can be harassed or arrested, hope that you do not do it.

The CEC said that the role of the police administration in conducting free, fair and acceptable elections is important so that the election should not be questioned due to police administration.

The CEC said it is traditionally your duty to prevent post-election violence. This year you will be responsible for the greater interest of the country. According to the constitution, we must act like a conscience, not authority.

He also said that elections are not questioned in any way. There will be complete independence in the role of law and order. But the Election Commission will monitor it. Already the complaints have started to come. However, I have to work reliably. No action will be taken against anyone without proper scrutiny.

The CEC asked the police to create a strategic plan now, mentioning different levels of law and order information and suggestions would take different forces from the police.
